Girls Hockey earns spot in Final Four- Fan Bus info for Wednesday

The Girls Hockey team found itself trailing Winchester twice in Saturday's D2 State Quarterfinal game at Gallo Arena in Bourne.  But the Bulldogs struck back each time overcoming a 0-1 deficit and a 1-2 deficit before Rebecca Eckler's goal with just 10 seconds remaining led to a 3-2 Bulldog win.

There was lots to play for on Saturday for the 'dogs who had a ticket to the Final Four on their radar as well as redemption against Winchester- the team who had ended Canton's season in the first round of the tournament for the past two seasons.

The team will travel back to Bourne on Wednesday to face neighboring Westwood in the D2 State Semi-Final at 7:15pm. The winner earns a trip to the Boston Garden for the State Final on Sunday.  The teams faced off against each other earlier in the season with the Wolverines winning 1-0.
D2Girls Hockey Bracket

Did you know that the Girls Hockey team have only lost 1 game since January 9th (1-2 at Hingham). Their record in that time is 11 wins, 5 ties and 1 loss. They are currently riding a 6-game winning streak. Amazing stuff!

The Boston Herald article on the game is a good read. Click Here.
