Aldrich honored with COY Award

On Tuesday, March  26th, Canton High School Girls Varsity Hockey coach Dennis Aldrich was honored by the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Ice Hockey Officials Association with their Coach of the Year Award.

Aldrich lead this year's Bulldog Girls Hockey team to a 12-6-5 record and a 2nd place finish in the Hockomock League.

Since taking over the reigns of the CHS Girls Hockey program in 2012, Aldrich has coached the Bulldogs to two State Championship Games (2017 and 2018) and League titles in  2013 and 2018.  Most importantly, his teams have always represented the school and town with class.  They have twice been awarded the MIAA Mulloy Sportsmanship Award (207 and 2019).

Canton High School is very proud of coach Aldrich on receiving this well-deserved honor.

Spring Sports set to begin 3/18/19- Sport Specific Info

Despite a foot of snow on the fields, tracks and courts of Canton, our Spring Sports Season is set to begin on Monday, March 18th.  Below is important information for all those planning on participating:

1. Plan to bring your own water the first week.  With our field house still not open for the season due to cold temperatures, it's a good idea for you to bring your own water with you to your practice/tryout.

2. Having your parents/guardians register you online is only step one to being set for participating. You must also be sure that the athletic office has a physical exam on file from within the past 13 months. Be sure all is done by deadlines. In order to be eligible for the first day of tryouts, you must be registered for Athletics by Wednesday, March 13th at Noon. Click here to register.
