Helpful info as we start Fall Season contests

Our State Championship Golf team got their 2026 season started this past week going 1-1 and becoming the first Bulldog team of the 2026-27 school year to get their contest schedule going. The rest of our fall sports (with the exception of Unified Basketball) get their first contests going this week!

Here is some helpful information for Bulldog fall student athletes, parents and fans!

CHS Athletics Website-

This is a hub for all info about Bulldog Athletics. You should bookmark it!

Things found on our website include-

1. Our Blog- This is where we share new/changing/developing info. We always send new blog entries out on SportsYou and our Instagram/Twitter accounts, but always good to check in there from time to time for the latest Bulldog info. 

2. Our Schedules- This is where you will find our contest schedules.

3. Our Ticket Sales Links- We charge an admission fee to the following events during the fall season:

Varsity Football games, Varsity Volleyball matches, Varsity Boys & Girls Soccer games with a start time of 4:30 or later

We do not accept cash at our games. We exclusively use GoFan for our mobile ticket purchases. Set up an account and easily purchase tickets. 

4. Our Bulldog Hudl TV channel link- This is where you go to watch our livestreamed (or past) contests. This includes all contests that take place in the CHS Gymnasium and the CHS Turf Field. Share the link with your loved ones who are unable to attend in person!

5. Lot's of other info including User Fee and Facility Fee info/forms, Athletic Trainer info, Booster info, Staff Contacts, and much more!

Dogs Heading to Fenway Thanksgiving Week!

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PRESENTED BY CROSS INSURANCE RETURNS TO FENWAY PARK THANKSGIVING WEEK

Tickets Available for Four Rivalry Games Featuring Eight High Schools

 

BOSTON, MA – High School Football will return to Fenway Park during Thanksgiving week, presented by Cross Insurance. The matchups will feature four traditional Thanksgiving rivalry games with two double headers scheduled for November 24-25.

 

Game matchups are as follows:

 

Tuesday, November 24, 2026

• Cambridge Rindge & Latin School vs. Somerville High School – 5:00 p.m.
• Canton High School vs. Stoughton High School – 8:00 p.m.*

 

Wednesday, November 25, 2026

• Durfee High School vs. New Bedford High School – 4:00 p.m.
• Xaverian Brothers High School vs. St. John’s Prep – 7:00 p.m.*

 

*Times are approximate; games are scheduled to begin 40 minutes after the conclusion of the previous contest.

 

General admission tickets are available for purchase at redsox.com/highschoolfootball starting at $20/ticket for each day, providing access to both games. Twenty percent of every ticket sold will be given back to the school being supported. Dell Technologies Level Suites will be available for all matchups starting at $50/ticket and can be purchased by contacting Michael Gavagan at mgavagan@redsox.com .

Bulldog Kick-off Presentation for student athletes and parents

The Canton High School Athletic Department is excited to announce our upcoming Student-Athlete & Parent/Guardian Kick-Off Night, happening on Tuesday, September 15th from 7:00pm-8:15pm at the CHS Morse Auditorium. This is a mandatory event for all student-athletes currently in season, as well as those planning to participate in winter or spring sports. We also ask that at least one parent/guardian attend alongside their athletes.

The evening is sponsored by our CHS Athletic Booster Club. This group will be on-hand to welcome new members. Please consider becoming a member of our Booster Club- so many upsides! CLICK HERE to join.

The Goal of the Night- 

The goal of the presentation is to bring our Bulldog Athletics community together to start the year with a common vision and message. 

Why You Should Be There-

This night isn’t just about policies and logistics (though we’ll briefly cover some of those, too). It’s about setting the tone for another great year of Bulldog athletics.

Featured Speaker- Coach Brian Shuman

The Canton High School Athletic Department is pleased to welcome Brian Shuman back to CHS as our featured speaker for this event. 

Shuman spent 23 years coaching in the Canton High School boys hockey program, including 21 seasons as head coach from 2005–2026. During his tenure, the Bulldogs won five MIAA Division 2 State Championships and 19 Hockomock League titles. He was named the 2019 USA Today National Boys Hockey Coach of the Year and is a 2026 inductee into the Massachusetts State Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He has also spent more than two decades working with young people as a Social Studies teacher at Westwood High School.

Brian will share lessons and perspectives drawn not only from his years as a coach, but also from his experiences as a parent and longtime member of the Canton community. His message will focus on embracing the unique opportunity of high school athletics and appreciating the people and experiences that make the journey meaningful. Having experienced Canton athletics from many of the same perspectives as the athletes and families in the audience, Brian hopes to offer a candid and personal reflection on how to make the most of these years while they are happening.
