Fall Season- Sport-specific information

Anyone interested in trying out for a fall athletic program MUST have a parent register you prior to the following deadlines:
Football- Wednesday, August 16th at 11:00am
All other sports- Monday, August 21st at 11:00am

The easiest way to register is to visit the CHS Athletics website and complete the online registration available there.


Sport Specific information:

Field Hockey- All players interested in trying out for field hockey should report to CHS turf field at noon on Thursday, August 24th. 
Tryouts will be held August 24th 12-2 and 5:15-7:15pm.
August 25th 8:30am-10:30am and 4:30pm-6pm
Sticks, goggles, shin guards and mouth guards are mandatory for every practice.  Please bring your own water bottle!

Cheerleading- Tryouts took place earlier this month and our first practice will be August 23rd from 4-6 with a parent/athlete meeting to follow at 6. Practice and the meeting will take place in the Rodman Gym. 

Boys Soccer- All boys interested in playing soccer should report to the turf/track on Thursday morning, August 24th at 8:00am for a fitness test including a 2-mile run. No cleats needed for this session. Goalkeepers will NOT be running the 2-mile but will train in goal at the conclusion of the fitness training. Our first field session will take place later that day at the grass field on lower campus (Gibson) from 4:00-6:00pm (goalkeepers start at 3:00pm). Golf- Mandatory meeting on Wednesday, August 23rd at 2:00pm at the Galvin Middle School to discuss the tryout process/schedule. Times and locations for tryouts on Thursday, August 24th will be distributed at this meeting. Need more info? contact coach Mike Barucci- baruccim@cantonma.org

Football- Thursday, August 17th: Media Day 4:00 PM at CHS turf Field...Friday August 18 Practice begins at 5:45 at the turf-Helmets only. For questions, contact coach Bohane- bohaned@cantonma.org

Volleyball- We welcome anyone interested in playing volleyball (no experience necessary) to join us for tryouts at the CHS gym. We carry three teams: varsity, JV and freshman. Tryouts are as follows: Thursday, August 24 - 5:00pm - 9:00pm......Friday, August 25 - 9:00am - 1:00 pm.........
Sunday, August 27 - 5:00pm - 9:00pm.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time. Bring plenty of water and some snacks for break timeNeed more info? contact coach Pat Cawley - patriciabcawley@gmail.com.

Girls and Boys Cross Country- Thursday, August 24th at 8:00am at the CHS McLoud Field House at the track. Bring water, good pair of running shoes and athletic wear for our first day! Any questions? email coach David Hiltz-bulldogcrosscountry@gmail.com

Registration now open for Fall 2017 Season

The following sports programs are offered at CHS in the fall:

Boys-
Cross Country (Varsity)
Football (Varsity, JV/Freshmen)
Golf (Varsity)
Soccer (Varsity, JV)

Girls-
Cheerleading (Varsity) (Tryouts for this program have already taken place as has registration)
Cross Country (Varsity)
Field Hockey (Varsity, JV)
Soccer (Varsity, JV)
Volleyball (Varsity, JV and Freshmen)

User Fees are not due until September 12, 2017.

Football starts on Friday, August 18th
All other sports start on Thursday, August 24th

Members of Class of 2017 Honored at Senior Banquet

112 members of the graduating class of 2017 were honored with official receipt of their varsity letters tonight at the annual Senior Banquet.  The Bulldog Head Varsity Coaching Staff was there in force to honor the class on their four great years here at CHS.

Special Thanks to CHS Athletic Department Secretary Denise Duffett for all of the behind the scenes work she has put into preparing for the evening.
