Field Hockey adds to already crowded trophy case

A come-from-behind 2-1 victory over visiting Stoughton Thursday night at home was enough to propel the Field Hockey team to yet another Hock Davenport Championship. It was also Senior Recognition Night and the seniors did not disappoint as parents and fans alike were treated to a great game.
The Bulldogs went down 1-0 early when a Black Knight found a gap and broke through the Canton defense. Canton goaltender Emily Buckley made a great first save but the persistent Stoughton player followed up with a goal off of the rebound.
The game remained scoreless throughout the first half, but early in the 2nd, Kellie Stigas scored off of a corner and just 6 minutes later Stigas converted on yet another corner.
The team will face Westwood in a non-league game this afternoon before beginning preparation for the DI state tournament.
