Boys Soccer earns 0-0 draw with 1st place Mansfield

By Anis Chakir

The Canton Bulldogs Boys’ Soccer came short of doing what everyone believed they couldn’t, beat Mansfield at Gillette Stadium. The Bulldogs didn’t pick up the win, but they did go home with a 0-0 tie against the top rated Kelley-Rex team. The Bulldogs played a tremendous game defensively, Sophomore goalkeeper Abe Garber earned his first shutout of the season. Mansfield attempted a ridiculously high 15 corner shots, but the Bulldogs defense refused to budge. The Bulldogs were clicking defensively, the problem was that the Bulldogs couldn’t find their rhythm offensively. The Canton Boys’ Soccer team has little to be ashamed of considering they were able to tie with one of the best teams the Hockomock League has to offer.
