The CHS Field Hockey team defeated Dartmouth on Thursday evening at CHS, 3-0 in a D1 preliminary round match. The 'dogs came out flying from the start, finding the back of the Indian goal twice in the first 15 minutes. Colleen Phelan struck first followed by a great goal by Masha Smirnova. The Indians kept fighting and the Bulldogs fought off the upset-minded Indians for the middle of the contest. Finally, Mary McNeil provided the breathing room the 'dogs were looking for, scoring midway through the 2nd half to ice the victory.
The team will travel to ATTLEBORO High school to face North Attleboro to face the #7 seeded Red Rocketeers in round 1 action on Saturday at 10:00am.
