Girls Cross Country competing in MIAA All-State Meet

Freshman Lauren
Raffetto- who has been
the top runner for the
Bulldogs this season
In what appears to be for the first time in school history, the CHS Girls Varsity Cross Country team has qualified to compete in the MIAA D2 All-State Cross Country meet this upcoming Saturday at Fort Devens. Race start time is 2:45pm.

Seven runners and three alternates will represent Canton High School and the Cross Country program as the girls take on the best cross country runners in the state.

This young team has been amazing all season, going 4-1 in dual meet competition before earning 2nd place at the very competitive Hockomock League Championship meet and then 5th in the D2B championship meet last week.

Second year Head Coach Brian Gotsell had this to say about the team as they head into this big meet- "I am beyond excited about how this season has gone for these girls. They are a great group who has really come together and grown together all season. I can't wait to see what they do this Saturday."

Runners- Lauren Raffetto, Sojo Dennis, Natalie Hales, Klara Redquest, Libby Silvasy, Honesty Johnson, Genevieve Dwoske

Alternates- Elana Silva, Madeline Driscoll, Nishka Baduamanda
