Gallery newest member of 1,000 point club

Fay Gallery with her family in a brief
ceremony upon joining the 1000 point club
Fay Gallery-
class of 2022- poured in 11 first quarter points on her way to a 19 point night, with the 14th being the 1,000th of her illustrious Bulldog career.  The team went on to defeat the Tewksbury Redmen, 56-49, advancing to the the Round of 16 of the D2 MIAA State Tournament.

Gallery becomes just the 3rd Bulldog to reach the 1,000 point mark in the history of the program (Eileen Morneau-1996 and teammate Kiara Cerruti- 2022.  She has been a huge force for the Bulldogs over her career.  The team has improved each year she has been here and things are looking good for the team as they make their way onto the Sweet 16.

Gallery will soon have
her name hanging
from the rafters
Making the milestone achievement even the more impressive is the fact that the 2020-21 season (her junior season) was drastically cut short due to Covid-19.

To watch Fay take the court tonight with such a confident swagger and then just execute at such a high level was something every young basketball player can learn from. Despite being on the biggest of stages, and in search of such an elusive goal, she stepped up and was money from the first whistle. Mental toughness at its best.

Her coach Jimmy Choquette- who recently surpassed the 100 victory mark as a coach, had this to say about Fay's achievement-

"When you look at four years of work that goes into an accomplishment like 1000 points, Fay really showed that you could get there by getting better every year.  She added ball handling, quality free throw shooting and of course her shooting from behind the arc. She put it all together and gritted it out. Years of hard work pays off. We are all really proud of her."

The team will face the winner of Westwood and Northampton in the Round of 16 next week.
