Choquette hits century mark in coaching wins

Tonight's 70-50 victory over Davenport foe Sharon was the team's 100th victory under head coach Jimmy Choquette.  It improves the team's record on the season to 12-5 with three games to play prior to the upcoming MIAA State Tournament.

Coach Jimmy Choquette coaching up his team during
the 100th victory of his nine year career.
Choquette began his CHS Girls Varsity Coaching career in the 2013-14 school season.  He was taking over a struggling program and the struggles did not end quickly.  The 'dogs were winless during his first season at the helm, but Choquette showed the grit and resilience that his teams have come to embrace and steadily built a successful program.  The team has come a long way since his first victory (in the 2014-15 season) over Blackstone-Millville Regional High School.  The team's best season under coach Choquette came in 2018-19 when the team went 14-6.

It was a fitting night for the 100th victory milestone to come as the team was honoring their graduating seniors on Senior Night while also hosting their 8th annual Pink Out Play4Kay fundraising event. During that eight year stretch, the program has raised over $5,000 for Breast Cancer research.

It is clearly about more than just the wins to coach Choquette- but congrats to him on his 100th!
