It was a busy and successful 24 hour period for Bulldogs from Tuesday night through Wednesday night as both the Boys Hockey team and the Boys Basketball team earned impressive first round home wins in their respective D2 South MIAA Tournaments.
Tuesday night saw the #5 seeded hockey team come alive in the 2nd period to down #12 seeded Scituate, 3-1 behind goals by Matt Lazaro (2) and Brian Hagan.
Wednesday was the basketball team's turn as they hosted their first home tournament game in the "new" high school gym. The game pitted #8 seeded Bulldogs vs. the #9 seeded Blue Raiders of Sandwich High School. It was tight throughout but the Bulldogs showed great poise in pulling away in the final minutes, ultimately winning 66-57. Sam Larson led the way with 25 for the home side.
The rink and the gym were both packed with Canton fans! Well done Bulldog community!

Boys Basketball- at #1 seeded Bishop Feehan on Friday, Feb. 28th at 6:30pm The gym at Feehan is quite small and they SOLD OUT early in their first round game leaving MANY fans out of luck. This will most definitely happen again Friday. Tickets will go on sale at the gate at approximately 5:00pm.
