Chabot Takes Reigns of Girls Lacrosse Program

The CHS Athletic Department is pleased to officially announce the hiring of Laurie Chabot as our new Head Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach.

Coach Laurie Chabot
Chabot takes the reigns from coach Chrissy O'Connor, who has coached the Girls Lacrosse team for the past two seasons but has moved on to focus solely on leading the CHS Field Hockey program. Chabot joined the CHS coaching staff this past fall as our Junior Varsity Girls Soccer Coach but her true love is Lacrosse.

Chabot has many years of coaching high school sports, including many seasons of lacrosse. She has served as Head Girls Lacrosse coach at the Wheeler School in Providence, RI.  She has served in assistant roles at all of the follow schools- Thayer Academy, Beaver Country Day, Regis College and Rhode Island College. She also served as Thayer Academy's Head Girls Soccer coach until joining the Bulldog staff this past fall.

Joining the Bulldog Girls Lacrosse staff has been a longtime goal of Chabot's. "I am extremely honored and excited to be joining the Canton High School Girls Lacrosse program," stated Chabot.  "I have worked very hard over the past 13 years to build other programs and I am so excited to be back in my hometown. I look forward to seeing what lies ahead."

Chabot resides in Canton with her husband and 5 children.  She can often be found at youth sports venues all year round. CHS is happy to have her leading our Girls Lacrosse Program. Welcome coach Chabot!
