Consider Becoming a Bulldog Supporter
The Canton High School Athletic Booster Club has been supporting CHS student athletes for more than 10 years. They do amazing things in supporting our athletic programs. Here are just some of the ways they support our Bulldogs:
Banquets, Championship Recognition, Championship Banners, Transportation Support, Sound System for Turf Field, Turf Field Engineering, Guest Speakers, Leadership Training, Scrimmage Game Costs, Practice Equipment, Video Analysis Platform, Video Cameras, Sports Equipment, Senior Nights, Coaching Professional Development, Fitness Center Support, Fan Buses...and TONS of other support.
Although most of the work of the club is done by a small, but growing group of committed, caring parents, the real success of the group relies on two groups- Members and Corporate Partners.
Anyone or any family can become a booster Member. Click Here to Join today! It's not too late to support our Bulldogs AND to get some great benefits....such as Free Admission to CHS Athletic Events!
Own a local business? Work for a local business? Or do you own/work for an out-of -town company who just likes to support their employees' causes? Become a Corporate Partner today! CHS Wrestling Community Gathers to Honor Coach Bartosek
The CHS Wrestling Community came together on Wednesday night to honor legendary former coach Tom Bartosk with the official dedication of the new CHS wrestling mat in his name. The Bulldogs then faced off against Oliver Ames in the first ever match wrestled on the new mat.
Coach Bartosek is the Father of Wrestling in Canton. The long-time Science teacher at the Galvin Middle School and at Canton High School, brought his deep love of the sport to CHS by beginning a team at CHS in the 1990s. Bartosek founded the Bulldog Wrestling program and developed it to be a great program before retiring in 2010.
It wasn't the titles that were ever important to coach Bartosek- it was the journey. It was the growth of his athletes. It was his special ability to take a young man (or women) who had not been able to find "their thing" and help them recognize it and develop it. He truly made a difference- a hugely positive difference- in the lives of hundreds of young people from our school and town.
Last winter, EM Duggan- a local contracting company- made a very generous donation of a new wrestling mat and it was clear to everyone that the mat should be dedicated in coach Bartosek's honor.
The gym was packed on Wednesday, with dozens of former wrestlers and parents joining scores of fans of this year's team in watching coach Bartosek be present for the official mat opening.
The Bulldogs came up just short in the match, falling 39-33 (just their first defeat of the season) but the night was a huge success.

Winter Season off and rolling...with a Bang!
This weekend saw the 2017-18 season start off with a bang for the Bulldogs with many teams in action and some great results.
Indoor Track got things started on Friday with a meet against perennial power North Attleboro. The Bulldogs posted some great results despite falling to the Red Rocketeers but certainly showed that there could be some special things ahead for this group.
Saturday saw the wins begin to fly in. The Wrestling team headed to Burlington to participate in a Quad and came home with three wins and no losses. The Boys Hockey team downed Medway Saturday (2-0) and followed it up with an OT win over Hanover (2-1) on Sunday to win the annual Gormley Cup! The Boys and Girls Swim teams then took the baton and finished up the successful weekend with wins over Foxboro at Blue Hills on Sunday afternoon. Boys- 100-56, Girls 94-76.
Seeing their first action this week will be Boys and Girls Basketball (Tuesday) and Gymnastics (Saturday.)

Chabot Takes Reigns of Girls Lacrosse Program
The CHS Athletic Department is pleased to officially announce the hiring of Laurie Chabot as our new Head Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach.
Chabot takes the reigns from coach Chrissy O'Connor, who has coached the Girls Lacrosse team for the past two seasons but has moved on to focus solely on leading the CHS Field Hockey program. Chabot joined the CHS coaching staff this past fall as our Junior Varsity Girls Soccer Coach but her true love is Lacrosse.
Chabot has many years of coaching high school sports, including many seasons of lacrosse. She has served as Head Girls Lacrosse coach at the Wheeler School in Providence, RI. She has served in assistant roles at all of the follow schools- Thayer Academy, Beaver Country Day, Regis College and Rhode Island College. She also served as Thayer Academy's Head Girls Soccer coach until joining the Bulldog staff this past fall.
Joining the Bulldog Girls Lacrosse staff has been a longtime goal of Chabot's. "I am extremely honored and excited to be joining the Canton High School Girls Lacrosse program," stated Chabot. "I have worked very hard over the past 13 years to build other programs and I am so excited to be back in my hometown. I look forward to seeing what lies ahead."
Chabot resides in Canton with her husband and 5 children. She can often be found at youth sports venues all year round. CHS is happy to have her leading our Girls Lacrosse Program. Welcome coach Chabot!
