Hockomock League Announces Fall All-Stars

The Hockomock League recently announced their Fall 2023 All-Hockomock League teams.  Many Bulldogs were recognized for their exceptional seasons.

Winter Season Reminders

 This week will see our first home contests of the winter season. Here are a few tidbits for Bulldog fans:

TICKETS- We charge an admission fee for the following events-

• Varsity Wrestling Matches
• Varsity Girls Hockey Games
• Varsity Boys Hockey Games
• Varsity Girls Basketball Games
• Varsity Boys Basketball Games

Other than a select few events, regular season ticket prices are $5.50 with a reduced rate of $3.50 for senior citizens.  Spectators under 8 years old are free! All Bulldog tickets are digital (no cash options) and can be found at link below. Please consider purchasing your tickets to events before arriving. It is much easier and faster for you! Note- If you become a member of our CHS Athletic Booster Club, admission to regular season games is free!

STREAMING- We live stream all varsity (and many sub-varsity) basketball games as well as most wrestling meets taking place in our gym. We have a special camera that allows us to do so. You can catch live and previous action at our Canton High School HudlTV channel. 

ZERO TOLERANCE- A friendly reminder to our spectators that we have high expectations at our contests when it comes to how we treat all participants- players from both teams, coaches from both teams, and officials. Please support our student athletes and keep all comments positive and productive.

SCHEDULES- The sports listed above may carry an admission fee for are streamed live, but we have many other sports out there in the winter. Consider supporting them as well!  

• Our Indoor Track team mainly competes at the New Balance Track in Brighton or the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury
• Our Cheer team is in action with their Game Day squad at many CHS Basketball games and also are part of several competitions throughout the winter
• Our Gymnastics team competes out of Metro-South Gymnastics Academy on Revere Street
• Our Swim teams compete out of Blue Hills Regional Technical School

Bulldog Gear and Booster Club Memberships

As we head into our first week of winter competition, it is a great time to consider joining the CHS Athletic Booster Club. 

The Booster Club supports all sports at CHS throughout the year in so many ways. It helps celebrate our student athletes and through our banquets, senior nights, championship gear, and banners- among so many other levels of support of the student athlete experience.  It is a great organization to join!

Memberships also come with free admission in to most of our home contests where an admission fee is charged. It is a great perk! They even have grandparent memberships!

The Booster Club is currently hosting a holiday shop where you can purchase Bulldog gear. Act fast! Time is running out!

Armstrong takes helm of Cheer program- Tryout schedule announced

Coach Katie Armstrong

The CHS Athletic Department is thrilled to announce the hiring of Katie Armstrong as our new Head Cheer Coach.  Armstrong- who had served as a Bulldog assistant coach back in 2018-19, comes back to CHS after an impressive coaching stint at UMASS Boston, where she has built a strong program. 

Katie has years of coaching experience at the youth, All-Star, high school and collegiate level. She has worked with many programs and age groups giving her a rich coaching background. She currently works as an admissions counselor at UMASS Boston. In her free time she enjoys lifting at the gym and spending time with her family. 

She had this to say upon the announcement of her hiring-

"I am so grateful to be the new head cheerleading coach at Canton High School. I bring years of experience in the cheerleading industry and am excited to take on this new role. As a coach, cheerleading is not only about building character and confidence, but instilling the values of discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship within our athletes."

We wish coach Armstrong luck as she begins this new chapter at CHS. 

TRYOUTS for the winter cheer teams- All registered and cleared candidates should follow the schedule below. All three tryouts are in the Rodman Gym (in the administration building next to CHS). 

Wednesday, Dec. 6th- 6:30-8:30pm
Thursday, Dec. 7th- 3:30-5:30pm
Friday, Dec. 8th- 6:30-8:30pm
