The Canton High School Athlteic Department is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dan Kiser as our new Boys Varsity Basketball Coach.

Coach Kiser rose to the top of a strong pool of candidates. He takes over after a two-year stint by coach Eric MacKinnon who led the Bulldogs through the past two seasons.
Kiser currently serves as a Special Education teacher at Canton High School. Prior to teaching in Special Education, Kiser was a Physical Education teacher. He holds his Masters degree in Moderate Disabilities.
A veteran with an amazing resume, Kiser looks to bring his passion, knowledge and a player-centered focus to the position of Bulldog head coach. He has been coaching high school and/or college for nearly three decades. Here are some highlights:
- Interim Head Basketball Coach at Randolph High School- 2022-23
- Associate Head Basketball Coach at Randolph High School- 2010-2017 and 2019-2022
- 2022 State Championship at Randoph High School
- On the bench for four Elite Eight appearances- 2016, 2019, 2022, 2023
- Named MBCA Assistant Coach of the Year is 2022
- Head Coach of Eastern Nazarene College- 1997-1999

"Coach Kiser is a perfect fit for our Boys Basketball program. He is a player-centered coach who brings a big personality with him but one that really focusses on the student athlete. His basketball IQ is top notch. The number of high quality basketball coaches in the region who advocated for Dan to get this spot, really highlights his reputation. We are trilled to see him get started."
Coach Kiser had this to say upon his appointment-
"I am very excited about this opportunity to coach at Canton High School. My goal is to carry on the tradition that past coaches such as Coach Gordy, Aldrich, Devoll and MacKinnon have laid the foundation over the years. I would like to thank CHS administration for the trust they have shown in me. Lastly, i'd like to thank everyone at Randolph High School for their loyalty, hard work and dediation they have shown to me over the years. Now---Let's go Bulldogs!"
