Weather-related changes to schedule on Friday, Sept.

Due to the rain, the following changes have been made to the CHS Athletic schedule:

Girls JV Soccer at North Attleboro has been postponed.
Boys JV Soccer vs. North Attleboro has been moved to the turf at CHS at 5:15pm

All other contests are on as scheduled.

Weather-related Postponements....9/25 and 9/26

• Golf with Milford scheduled for 9/25 at Blue Hills CC has been postponed to 10/16 at Blue Hills. 
• Cross Country with Stoughton at Pequitside Farm on Pleasant St. scheduled for 9/25 has been postponed to 9/27. 
• JV Boys and Girls Soccer games with Mansfield scheduled for 9/26 have been postponed. Make up date TBA.
• JV Field Hockey game with Foxboro scheduled for 9/26 has been postponed. 
• All games scheduled on turf on 9/26 are ON....Varsity Field Hockey and Varsity Boys Soccer at home and Varsity Girls Soccer at Mansfield. 

Unified Basketball Registration now open

The Canton High School Athletic Department and the CHS Student Services Department are happy to announce the return of a Unified Basketball team for the 2018-19 Fall/Winter Season. 

Special Olympics Project Unify is an education-based project, funded by the US Dept. of Education, that uses the sports and education programs of Special Olympics to activate young people across the US. In order to promote school communities where all young people are agents of change- fostering respect, dignity and advocacy for people with disabilities.  Canton High School and Special Olympics believe that through sports young people can make a difference in friendships, schools and communities.

The Unified Basketball program is scheduled to begin the week of October 1st.  There will be roughly 1-2 practices each week with approximately 4-6 games. The team will ultimately be made up of both student with and without disabilities.  Our hope is to continue to strengthen our inclusive community and help develop new friendships and meaningful learning experiences for all students.

Any student interested in joining the Unified Basketball team should have his/her parent register them online by visiting the CHS Athletics Website.  Registration info is right in the middle column.

Student Athlete/Parent Presentation set for September 25th

The CHS Athletic Department will be kicking off the school year with an important meeting for student athletes and parents on Tuesday evening, September 25th at 7:00pm in the CHS Morse Auditorium. The evening will conclude no later than 8:15pm.


We are thrilled to welcome our Keynote Speaker- Monica Livingston- from Positive Coaching Alliance. She is a dynamic presenter who will be speaking to our audience about competing and life lessons.  Check out her bio here. 

Ms. Livingston's visit is made possible by the work of our CHS Athletic Booster Club. The Boosters, which is celebrating its 11th anniversary year, make opportunities like this possible. We hope that you will become a booster member today to help support programs like this and others in the future.

Attendance at the meeting is required of all CHS athletes (for all three seasons) and it is asked that each athlete is accompanied by a parent/guardian.  Parents will NOT be disappointed in taking the time to listen to Ms. Livingston's message. The meeting will run no more than 75 minutes. Please arrive early so we can get started and finish on time.

Weather-Related changes to Schedule- 9/12/18

The following changes have been made to the Athletic Schedule today, Wednesday, September 12th:

• Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer games at Foxboro have been postponed to Saturday, Sept. 22nd...Girls at 5:00 and Boys at 7:00pm at Ahern Middle School in Foxboro. 
• Varsity and JV  Field Hockey with Foxboro has been postponed to Wed., Sept. 26 at 3:45...Varsity at the Turf at CHS and JV at Gibson at CHS. 
• Golf match with Sharon is postponed. 
• JV Boys and Girls Soccer games at Foxboro have been postponed to Thursday, Sept. 13th at Foxboro. Boys at Booth Field and Girls at Hersey Field. 

Rescheduled Events from Sept. 6th

Due to the storms that came in yesterday, the following events are rescheduled to the following date/time:

• Golf vs. Sharon- Wednesday, Sept. 12th at 3:30 at BHCC
• Field Hockey at Attleboro- Tuesday, Sept. 18th....Varsity at 3:45 and JV at 5:15
• Girls Soccer vs. Attleboro- Tuesday, Sept. 18th at 3:45pm...Varsity at CHS, JV at JFK

Schedule Changes for Thursday, Sept. 5th

Due to excessive heat and threat of thunderstorms today, the following changes have been made to today's Bulldog Athletic Schedule:

• JV Field Hockey at Attleboro is POSTPONED.
• JV Girls Soccer vs. Attleboro is POSTPONED.
• Freshmen Volleyball match at Attleboro is POSTPONED.
• Varsity Field Hockey game at Attleboro is ON but pushed back to a 5:00pm start. 

Still on as originally scheduled:

• Golf vs. Sharon at Blue Hills at 3:30pm
• Girls Varsity Soccer vs. Attleboro at CHS turf at 6:30pm
