The 2017-18 CHS Athletic season kicked off this past week with tons of great results for Bulldog fans.
Field Hockey is already 2-0 after convincing wins over Attleboro and a very strong Mansfield team. Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, and Volleyball each started off with big wins over Attleboro. Cross Country had many great performances in a loss at Nauset.
Friday night saw the Football team come flying out of the gates in the home opener against Pentucket Regional- jumping out to a 21-0 early in the first quarter and never looking back on their way to a 42-7 win. The game was a great community event- which saw hundreds of Canton residents and CHS students come out to watch the team and honor Bulldog legend Billy Cravens. It was great to see the entire CHS band in the stands keeping the crowd going. Hundreds of dollars were made to support ALS research. A pre-game tailgate party was attended by more than 200 students and teachers to celebrate CHS student athlete Xavier Machuga's road to recovery. It truly was a great example of our community coming together.
Proud Week to be a Bulldog!
