CHS Athletics 2025-26 kickoff Presentation set for 10/7

The Canton High School Athletic Department is excited to announce our upcoming Student-Athlete & Parent/Guardian Night, happening on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 7:00pm in the CHS Morse Auditorium. This is a mandatory event for all student-athletes currently in season, as well as those planning to participate in winter or spring sports. We also ask that at least one parent/guardian attend alongside their athletes.

The evening is sponsored by our CHS Athletic Booster Club. This group will be on-hand to welcome new members. Please consider becoming a member of our Booster Club- so many upsides! CLICK HERE to join.

Author, podcaster, speaker- John O'Sullivan

We’re thrilled to welcome John O’Sullivan as our keynote speaker for the evening. John is the co-author of the bestselling book The Champion Teammate and the founder of the Changing the Game Project, an organization dedicated to helping coaches, parents, and athletes create a healthier, more positive sports experience.

A former collegiate and professional soccer player, John has over 30 years of coaching experience at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels. He’s also a TEDx speaker, host of the Way of Champions Podcast, and has worked with organizations such as the US Olympic Committee, US Soccer, and Ireland Rugby. His message about teamwork, leadership, and character goes beyond sports—it’s about life.

This night isn’t just about policies and logistics (though we’ll briefly cover some of those, too). It’s about setting the tone for another great year of Bulldog athletics.

Coaches Workshop

The entire CHS Coaching staff will be taking the afternoon to attend a workshop with John in the library prior to him heading up to the auditorium. It will be a great professional experience for our coaches!

As we kick off the fall sports season, the CHS Athletic Department would like to share a whole bunch of important/interesting information with all of us in Bulldog Nation:

SAVE THE DATE- Tuesday, October 7th- Mandatory Student Athlete Event!
The CHS Athletic Department will be hosting our annual Athletics Kick-off Presentation for student athletes and parents/guardians.  The event will take place in the CHS Auditorium and will run from 7:00pm until roughly 8:15pm. 

The main, keynote speaker for the evening will be renowned author John O'Sullivan. O'Sullivan, who authored the book- The Champion Teammate. Details to follow.

SportsYou- The SportsYou app and website will be our main method of communicating with members of our CHS athletic programs. This includes coaches, student athletes and parents/guardians.

Our coaches will be using this to communicate with their student athletes and parents/guardians as well.  If you have not yet joined up to be following a team, you must get an invite from your coach. Reach out to them about getting you added! 

If your coach doesn't seem to be using the tool, be sure to let us know so we can help get them up-to-speed!

GOFan Ticket App- Although we do not charge an admission fee for a vast majority of our athletic contests throughout the year, we do sell tickets for the following in the fall-

• All home football games
• All home "evening" soccer games
• Any home playoff games

Tickets for these contests are only available digitally. Your phone is your ticket.  We do NOT accept cash at our gates. No need to hit the ATM pregame!

Many of our away contests are also charging admission, so be prepared for that when heading to away contests. Most venues also use the GoFan app.
